And then there was your silliness, your caring nature, and the way you were always by my side.
You were a re-home from Montreal and made the journey to me in Niagara Falls when you were just two years old. I looked into your eyes in that photo, and I knew I had to have you. Somehow, I just knew.
You became a babysitter to my boy, who didn't like to be alone. When he passed, you became Simba's babysitter. And through it all, you were my babysitter too — always there, always by my side. The loss is great for Simba and me.
The empty void you have left behind is unbelievable, and you are truly, deeply missed. But you taught me strength, and that is something I will carry with me and continue to use as I move forward.
I will be forever grateful that you found me. And now, I will find you.
