Helping People Help Their Pets

The Farley Fund

The Farley Foundation helps low-income pet owners in Ontario by funding medically necessary veterinary care for their sick or injured pets.

Dr. Erica

When I started Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services, dedicating our care exclusively to the End-of-Life phase for pets, I really wanted to honour the bond, life, and love shared with our beloved companion animals.  I knew there would be clients and pets who would really benefit from spending their last shared moments together in the comfort of home.  I also knew there would be some who really wanted this experience, but unfortunately, could not afford it.  This challenge is real and it affects all of those involved - the pet, the pet caregivers, guardians, pet owners, the veterinarian, and veterinary team.  We hear the stories, we see the connection and love, and we want to help.

The gratitude, love, and connection we are invited to witness during an immensely difficult day, makes us want to give back.

Every donation makes a difference.

Every single day we experience the beautiful connections and bonds that our local community members have with their pets. Our hearts hurt seeing pets in pain. Being able to help low-income pet families honour that connection with a personalized goodbye through the use of the Farley Fund is so rewarding.

The Farley Fund helps pet parents pay for the treatments their pets need.  The fund is generated strictly by donations and is run by the OVMA (Ontario Veterinary Medical Association), and they have been so good at quickly responding and approving our practice applications.
