Bella McVeeney
2008 - May 27th, 2025
Bella was a huge part of our family for nearly 17 years, she was a very loved family pet to Tammie, Paul, Emma And Meagan.
Our family got Bella from a litter of puppies, she was the runt, a black lab and blue heeler mix with a white heart on her tummy, we all knew she was the one for our family as soon as we saw her.
She loved her home, never wanting to be out of it for anything longer than a walk or to go get some ice cream, she was so well behaved she never even had to walk on a leash.
Bella was smart, loving, gentle, loyal, and showed her love for her family to them as much as they showed their love for her.
She knew who her people were and where her home was.
She didn’t care much for strangers’ attention or other dogs, we called Bella “socially awkward” because she would side eye other dogs or people if they came near her making it very clear she was weirded out by them, she was a funny original girl that didn’t have a mean bone in her body.
She went for walks nearly every single day at Morrison dam with Emma, even after Emma moved out of the family home she drove home every single day nearly 40 minutes each direction just to take Bella for her walks at the trail, Bella and Emma were best friends, and spent so much time together on walks. Until the very last day our old girl never was too tired for a walk and turned back into a puppy every time she saw Emma and went to the trail.
On Bella’s last day she got 2 walks at the trail, she had burgers from McDonald’s, and ice cream and right before her final moments she finally got to have a chocolate bar and she loved it!
We were so lucky to have such a meaningful and peaceful goodbye with Bella in our home. Bella had a very scary morning where the signs were clear to our family that it was time to let her go, and Black Creek came the same day we called making it such a comforting decision to have to make during such a hard time.
They moved at our pace and were so kind and respectful, we couldn’t thank them enough for giving us such an unforgettable goodbye for our special girl Bella, we are so grateful she got to spend her last moments surrounded by her family in her own bed peacefully.
