Soul mate [sōl ,māt] noun: “someone with whom you share a deep affinity or understanding.” Max was my soulmate. It might seem silly to some to think of a dog as your “person” (especially since he wasn’t a person) but we had a connection like no other.

They say the silence in your home after the death of a pet will be excruciating loud, I don’t think we really understood this until we heard it. It’s horrible, deafening, and I wouldn’t wish it on anyone.

We said goodbye to our sweet boy December 29th 2020. We were so lucky to be able to lay with him as he peacefully passed on, on our living room carpet. In his safe space, his home, surrounded by only love. It was so beautiful and yet the hardest thing I have ever had to do. We love you, we will miss you like no other, rest peacefully sweetheart 🤍
