Almost 13 years with our brave, beautiful beagle

You were our sunshine with floppy ears— our fearless adventurer, beachcomber, blanket burrower.
From the moment we saw that little heart-shaped mark on your forehead, we knew you were special. We just didn’t know how much you’d change us.

You filled our lives with laughter and muddy paw prints. With every tail wag and the way you’d greet anyone with a happy whimper, you reminded us what pure love looks like.

You chased waves like they were old friends and found joy in every trail, every scent, every breeze.

You were happiest with sand between your toes and us by your side.

As the years passed, you grew gentler, wiser— but never lost your spark.
Even near the end, you met each day with courage and that same old beagle curiosity.

We held you through your last breath, whispering how loved you are, how grateful we are, how we’ll carry you with us forever. You even came through right away with your butterfly sign. 

You weren’t just our dog.
You were our family, our constant, our heart.

We miss you terribly, sweet girl.
But we know you’re off on your next grand adventure—
somewhere the beach never ends, and the sun is always warm with your brother Charley by your side. 

Run free. Wait for us.
We’ll find you again.
