Ellie Fischer
January 19th, 2022 - April 1st, 2025
“With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of our beloved puppy, Ellie Bean Fischer, on April 1st, 2025. Ellie passed away peacefully in the comfort of her home, surrounded by her parents, Larry Markle and Carleen Fischer, sister Ruby Fischer and grandparents, Brian and Marie Fischer. The family cannot thank respite nurse Tanner Lee enough for her gentle support during Ellie’s final days and Dr. Erin Minen of Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services for guiding us through this process with exceptional dignity, care and compassion.
Adopted at a mere 5 pounds on April 25th, 2022, Ellie (Jellybean) cemented a paw print onto her family's heart after the first hug.
During her short but beautifully impactful life, Ellie could light up the face of every person she met in an instant. Always up for adventure, Ellie was a familiar face at Community Living Stratford, brightening the days for people with developmental disabilities.
She was happiest when spending quality time with her family. Running freely down the street for treats at her grandparents' house was a daily occurrence, as was being Mom’s shotgun rider around town. Playing games with her sister made her a Snapchat sensation, and neighbors were always delighted to see her on her daily walks. She also loved visiting with her cousin Megan, always excitedly jumping on her back to say hello. When the sunset after each busy day, Ellie snuggled up on a lap for a few hours before bedtime, unknowingly giving the person with the lucky lap a lovely sense of peace and tranquility.
With her teddy bear frame, killer eyelashes, and heart filled with unconditional love, Ellie was as beautiful as the sparkle of snow on a moonlit night. She will be forever missed, etched in our hearts for eternity.
In memory of Ellie, please consider donating to the Stratford SPCA.
