“Lola came into our family at a challenging time in our lives, but she knew right from the beginning what her job was...to bring joy and love to her human family.
As a young puppy, she was a spunky, sassy little dog and maybe too smart for her own good.
When we took her to her first vet appointment, Dr Boa told us that Cotons were a smart breed and if we wanted to house train her quickly, we should teach her to ring a bell when she needed to go outside. Little did we know that not only would she ring to go outside but that she could also abuse her bell privileges to get attention whenever she wanted it.
She was also easy to train because of her insatiable appetite. As a result Lola walked off leash, in our footsteps as long as treats were forthcoming. On the downside, in spite of being the size of a coconut cake, she was able to consume one in its entirety.
Lola's favourite friend was Boo who she loved to frolic on the beach with. Lola spent many happy days at the cottage, walking in the neighborhood and being the ultimate passenger princess.
She has been a loving and faithful companion to our family and has changed our lives for the better in so many ways.
There will be a coconut cake sized hole in our hearts.
Love you forever”
