Mabel Tomchick

2011 - 10/11/2021

We miss Mabel daily but we are at peace with our decision. Thanksgiving weekend, it being her last weekend, it felt like it was a celebration of her life. All of our attention was on her, and the kids were home and our hearts felt full. We are all so relieved that she is no longer struggling or suffering.

We still think of Mabel everyday, but our routine and daily life has changed a bit. Eddie (her fur-brother) is adjusting well. We think he is enjoying the added attention of being the only “kid” in the house now.                                                                                                                                                     We adopted Mabel in 2016. She had been a stray and was quite unhappy being at the shelter. She soon joined the Lab-Rescue and this got her onto the right track. She became a part of our family and fit right in - she sure loved to explore at the cottage! Mabel loved to be outside every chance she got, she was always right by Rob’s side, his shadow.

Our only wish, just like every dog family, is that our time together could have been much longer. She was just such a beautiful soul!

Mabel is eternally loved and missed by Rob and Sue, all the kids, relatives, extended family and folks at the cottage.
