Our Beautiful Zena: Colby Ace and I still feel her spiritual presence on a daily basis. I have a feeling we always will. I thought it would start to become easier to speak about Zena and her importance in my life as time went on, but I've found it to be the opposite. It gets harder. Colby and I are getting married and our plan was always to have Zena and Ace be our ring bearers. I guess Ace has the sole responsibility now! Our wedding will be on our property and I just know that Zena will be there with us in spirit!

I decided to get a tattoo on the side of my neck for Zena - she was always right beside me, so now she’ll always still be there.

Zena's forever bed is coming in so nicely, everything is green and lush and beautiful. We planted a Norway Spruce tree in the area as well which really sets it off. There are often animals all around her forever bed keeping her company, from deer to bunnies to crows, and we love sitting with them each morning with a coffee.

Ace has made friends with our two kittens who live downstairs in the shop. He cares for them very much and tiptoes around them so he doesn't step on them haha. They have been so kind to him since Zena's goodbye day...I think they somehow knew he has needed the love.

Colby and I appreciate you very much Dr. Erica and we are SO grateful we found you to help us help Zena have the most dignified goodbye.
