Rosie Varga
September 2019 - December 18th, 2024
Rosie was more than just a cat to our family and especially my oldest daughter, she was a best friend, a companion, one who she could look for when she needed love or cuddles, one who she could count on. Rosie was a spunky, sassy addition to our already chaotic family, she fit right in. Rosie and Lincoln (our older tabby cat) bonded immediately and eventually became inseparable, wherever Lincoln was Rosie wasn't far behind, they spent their days together cuddling anywhere they could both fit, of course he has his moments where she had too much energy as he is older and starting to calm down but he never pushed her away or got angry with her, he loved her. Their bond was amazing to witness and he misses her terribly , as we all do.
Rosie came to us as a rescue as she was found roaming around in the complex we live in, our intention at the beginning was only to foster her until she could find her forever home as we already had a house full of animals at that time, Dora our 9 year old pit-bull massive , Hazel our 4 year old Chihuahua, Lincoln our 13 year old Tabby and our bunnies marshmallow and snow-belle both 4 years old.
We immediately fell in love with her personality and the way she fit right in, there was no doubt she was where she belonged. She was home and she needed to stay with us. Sophia (my daughter) & Rosie hit it off right away, Sophia found a calmness and a freedom from her anxiety and stress whenever Rosie was around her, they quickly became best friends, Rosie wasn't a big on cuddling unless you were Sophia. Their bond was magical , something I couldn't describe, Sophia didn't have that with any other of our animals and it gave her a sense of belonging and she had met her match.
Rosie is missed tremendously in our home, the last few weeks have been difficult for us but we have been able to look back at pictures and moments with Rosie and begin to feel grateful for the 5 years we had with her. She was an amazing fur baby to us and an even better friend for my daughter. Rosie is home now where she belongs on Sophia’s shelf in her room where she will feel the most comfortable.
We miss you Rosie Posie , life isn’t the same without you baby girl
Love Dee , Sophia, Kieran , Dora, Hazel & of course Lincoln.
